Gone But Not Forgotten

The years we've shared have been full of joy.
The memories we've made will go on and on.
I haven't stopped crying since you went away,
and I've asked God time and time why couldn't you stay.
You lit up my life, my hopes, and my dreams.
You've opened my eyes to see what it all means.
So now that you're gone how can I forget;
Because you were the greatest out of all I have met.

A to Z of Engineering

A is for APPLE who sent us our Macs,
D is for DEC, and they sold us a Vax.
C is the language in which we write source,
and B is our sort, which is BROKEN, of course.

E is an ERROR when code is compiled,
F is a FORK for creating a child,
G is the GETTY that sits on the line,
and H is a HANGUP whic:^?{^Zo^?{bD^]NO CARRIER

I is the INTERCONNECTION of kit,
J is the JOY when the cables all fit.
K is for KERMIT, to copy a file,
and L are the LINES that we drop all the while.

M is the MODEM we use from our home,
N are the NIGHTS which we spend on the 'phone,
O is the OUTPUT we get from the host,
and P are the 'PHONE BILLS we get in the post.

Q for SIGQUIT makes our process abort,
R is the REASON sigquit should be caught.
S is the SIGNAL we catch and ignore,
and T is the TRAP which we miss, and dump core.

U is for UNIX -- I hope that is clear,
V is the VISUAL editor here.
W stands for the WINDOWS we use,
and X for the windowing system we choose.

Y is for YACC, quite a specialist tool,
Z for the snores from the programming pool.
Written while waiting while dinner was cooking

The Engineer Song

Ohhh! I'm an engineer and I'm well paid.
I code all night and I sleep all day.
I drink my Jolt, I write some code, give up and surf the Web.
I download dirty pictures, and bill for that instead.

Ohhh! I'm an engineer and I'm well paid.
I code all night and I sleep all day.

I like Dilbert, I read sci-fi, and speak in Python quotes.
I like to code in UNIX. Powerbuilder is for dolts!

Ohhh! I'm an engineer and I'm well paid.
I code all night and I sleep all day.

I eat fast food, I watch Star Trek, and fill myself with beer.
I wish I had a girlie, 'cause my papa thinks I'm queer.

Ohhh! I'm an engineer and I'm well paid.
I code all night and I sleep all day.

The perks are great, they treat me well, 'cause they think I work sooo hard!
They're sending me to the COMDEX on the corporate credit card!

Ohhh...I'm an engineer and I'm well paid.
I code all night and I sleep all day!

I have no grace or social sense. Don't own a suit or tie.
My idea of witty discourse is querying EMACS vs. VI.

Ohhh...I'm an engineer and I'm well paid.
I code all night and I sleep all day!

I surfed too long, downloaded too much, ended up with a virus, you see.
Not the social type that you might think, but one on my PC.

Ohhh! I'm an engineer and I'm well paid.
I code all night and I sleep all day.

A Train A Journery....

How many times I nearly miss the train
By running up the staircase once again
For some dear trifle almost left behind.
At that last moment the unwary mind
Forgets the solemn tick of station-time;
That muddy lane the feet must climb—
The bridge—the ticket—the signal down—
Train just emerging beyond the town:
The great blue engine panting as it takes
The final curve, and grinding on its brakes
Up to the platform-edge….The little doors
Swing open, while the burly porter roars.
The tight compartment fills: our careful eyes
Go to explore each other’s destinies.
A lull. The station-master waves. The train
Gathers, and grips, and takes the rails again,
Moves to the shining open land, and soon
Begins to tittle-tattle a tame tattoon.

Here's To My Brother

Here's to my brother

Remember every day

No matter what I've said

Here's what I'd like to say

I will always love you

Be with you till the end

When no one else is around

I will be your friend

I love my brother
and I always will

I'm proud to be your brother

that's how I feel

And someday when we're far away

And the miles keep us apart

I'm gonna whisper

I love my brother

And you'll know it in your heart

The thread Simply means a relationship Should Like thread Even
After a Decade has Change..
Thanks to my Mom Who Gave me a Bro Like u
And thanks to Almighty....

Brother is mine :)

I know sometimes I may whine
But deep down I really find you somewhat divine

You are smarter than you think.
Smarter than me – in some ways
Wiser than you know -
You have experienced pains and joys
Some twice your age have never seen
Because of all of this you are three times the man

Brother of mine
I could be no prouder
I could love you no more
I will always be here for you.
No matter what occurs -
No matter what is said or done
I will never be too far away
No matter the distance
You’ll always be in my heart.

WAR!!!

Blood starts drippin' from the soldier's wound
Seeps like sewage ‘neath the politician's room

Deep in the house, white fades to red
And the freedom we're fighting for seems to be dead
‘Cause we can't win like he once said
No we can't triumph over the hate in our enemy's head
But we're deep in mud over the bullshit we've been fed
While more and more soldiers awake in Heaven's bed

The wind is blowing like a hurricane
In the frightening desolated lands
Where the wolves are insane
And hawks feast on bloody hands

Bullets flying, children dying, mothers crying
While the beasts are lying and hiding
Behind black curtains that no one's finding
But God knows the truth, and He's forevermore sighing

Too many hands washed in widows' tears
Too many echoed gun shots ringing in ears
Too many hearts frozen numb from fears
Of hope too distant, like skylight chandeliers

Wounded souls soaked in blotched black fate
Disillusioned by dark demons' fate

Persistent nightmares of woebegone escape:
Screeching fervently under Liberty's Gate
I grasp the rope fabric with delicate care,
Neck tickling from its bristly hair
My chapped, dry lips whisper a final prayer
Before a tightening ravish pain permeates the air

A bright radiant flash scorches the cloudless horizon
And ashes drift upward, caressing my bare, dangling feet
Bleak, barren, biting malice below seems blazon
But the dead know not the sentiment of defeat.
